Socks

The main difference between tennis socks and standard-wear socks is the thickness.

All the major sports brands make tennis socks that are extremely thick and designed to cushion the foot, allowing for greater support and freedom of movement.

Due to the stop-start movement of tennis, and the need to move both forward and from side-to-side, select a pair of socks that are fully cushioned around the base of the foot. They should fit well, but not be tight. It is also worth remembering that when trying tennis socks on, take the tennis shoes you'll be wearing with you, as you can properly match the feel of the two together.
